Asia Trip Review – Langkawi, Malaysia

Selemat Datang to Malaysia!

Selemat Datang to Malaysia!

I suppose I’ll start with this picture.  This is the view from the first hotel we stayed at.  I say first because the view was the ONLY nice thing about our hotel at all.  For future reference, we stayed at the Langkawi Seaview Hotel near Eagle Plaza.  Seriously, it was just gross.  We checked out the next morning and into the Sheraton Resort, which we found FAR superior (though it weighed our wallets just a bit more).

We were only there for a day, but we went on an Island hopping tour near Cenang Beach where we saw the Pregnant Maiden Lake/Island, Eagle Feeding, Bat Caves, a beautiful private beach for watersports, and an island with monkeys and a private dock for swimming, paddleboating, and the “Catfish Massage.”  Well…I’m just going to post pictures, you’ll see what I’m talking about…

(I’m skipping the Bat Caves, they didn’t come out that well)…

This was a great afternoon for a quick trip to Langkawi.  There are plenty of other places to visit, but we definitely enjoyed this tour.  We spent the rest of the day relaxing at the hotel resort.  I ate fabulous lobster at the hotel restaurant, and got a great spa treatment.  Currently, the exchange rate was (rounding) 3.4ish Malaysian Ringgets to 1 US Dollar.  It’s all very worthit.
